SOLID Receives HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion Award for Third Consecutive Year

FAIRFAX STATION, VA, November 19, 2023 — Last week, U.S. Secretary of Labor Julie Su recognized Solutions for Information Design, LLC (SOLID) as a recipient of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award. For the third consecutive year SOLID was awarded the platinum level award, the highest of the award categories, which requires employers to meet rigorous employment and integration assistance criteria that demonstrates their commitment to hiring, training, and retaining veterans.

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans and ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills acquired through their military service.

SOLID’s commitment to veterans goes beyond hiring—their primary body of work is in translating military training and experience to civilian credentials and jobs and they maintain numerous longstanding contracts with the Department of Defense to create, manage, and design programs like Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL), SkillBridge, and MilGears. “We are proud to say that nearly HALF our team is military connected, and we see every day the talent, dedication, and spirit of service they bring to the workforce. They are integral to our success, and we remain committed to honoring their service through our work and by providing meaningful careers to veterans and their families. says Lisa Lutz, SOLID President and CEO.

As recipients of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 HIRE Vets Medallions, SOLID joins other distinguished companies who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans and ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.
